Darius Rucker - former Hootie and the BlowFish frontman - is now a country singer as well. I heard his single "Don't Think I Don't Think About It" at least 4,000 times when I was in Oklahoma. My OK friends said that when he gives interviews now, it is complete with southern drawl and cowboy hat. Apparently he's "always loved country music" - I'm sure it has much more to do with the fact that Hootie & The BlowFish had a disappointing 2nd album and were never able to recapture the success of "Cracked Rear View."

Although I will say it's impressive that a black musician has a #1 song on the country chart, musicians in general need to stop treating country music like fat girl you ask to the prom at the last minute because all the cheerleaders turned you down.
