Kilsharion’s Onion Bread

Ingredients:

2 pkgs active yeast
6 cups 12 grain flour
1 large onion
4 garlic cloves
salt
water

Directions:
Dice garlic and chop onions. Set aside.

Mix active yeast and 1 1/2 cups warm water. Put 4 cups of flour in large mixing bowl, blend in active yeast liquid with paddle attachment. Add 1/4 cup water and salt (to taste). Add in 2 cups flour and beat with bread hook for 5 min. Add garlic and onions. Beat for another 5 min.

Cover and let rise to three times its size. Punch down. Repeat. Punch down. Repeat. (You can do this two times instead of three if you prefer)

Bake in 325 degree F oven for 40 to 45 minutes.

Note: this is a very heavy bread.
